The short version
- CoAuthor Ads reads your Facebook ad results so you can use them to build reports. We can't change anything in your Facebook account, and we won't spend your money.
- We won't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything.
- You can disconnect Facebook and request that your account is deleted.

What we keep about you
Only what's needed:
- Your name and email address, so you can sign in and other people in your account can see who you are.
- Your password, scrambled so that nobody, including us, can see it.
- Your sign-ins: your browser and IP address so you stay logged in, and we can spot someone else trying to access your account.
What we get from Facebook
When you connect Facebook, you grant two permissions:
public_profile
and
ads_read.
We request ads_read
so we can show you your ad results. This is a read-only permission.
The public_profile
permissions comes with every Facebook login whether an app asks or not. This gives us your name and
user ID, so we can tell which Facebook account is connected.
Between them we save:
- Your ad accounts names, currency, time zone and status.
- Your ad campaign names, goals, budgets, and statuses.
- Your ad sets and ads names, budgets, schedules, and statuses.
- Your ad creative names
- Day-by-day results for campaigns and ads including spend, views, and clicks.
- Your Facebook name and user ID so we know which account is connected.
We also save an access key that Facebook gives us so we can continue to get your latest results.
What we can't do: create ads, edit ads, pause ads, change your budgets, spend your money, post as you, read your messages, or see your friends.
Information you give us
Content you add: Amazon attribution reports, headlines, primary text, images, books titles and their page counts is stored on our server. It is only used to display data and results to you and other users in your account.
Who else can see it
Other users in your account can see all your data. Admin users can also invite and remove people. If you don't want another account user to see your data then remove them, and their access ends immediately.
Outside your account, nobody sees your data. We don't sell, rent, or give it to advertisers or data brokers. Your data is not used to train AI.
Deleting your data
- Disconnect your Facebook account: Go to Settings → Connections and press Disconnect. We you disconnect your Facebook account we delete your access key and all data that we got from Faebook: ad accounts, campaigns, ad sets, ads and results.
- Delete everything: Email coauthortools@gmail.com and request your account be deleted.
Other companies involved
Meta runs Facebook we connect with their api to get your ad data. Meta has their own privacy policy regarding how they handle your data. Contabo runs the servers that host CoAuthor Ads. Google delivers sign-in and invitation emails.
If this changes
We'll update the date at the top. If a change significantly affects the handling of your data, as opposed to fixing a typo, we will email you prior to it taking effect.
